Hi, I'm Jay Buckey and I'm running to represent New Hampshire in the United States Senate. I hope that I can count on your support in the Democratic primary on September 9, 2008.
I love this country, and I believe in our future – but right now we are on the wrong track. The country I was born in could send people to the Moon. Today, like so many Americans, I'm deeply concerned that we can't respond adequately to a disaster in one of our own cities, and that we started a war without a clear understanding of what it would take to finish it.
But Americans haven't changed. We are a practical people who can solve just about any problem. What we need are the right policies and the resources to get the job done. We face long-term challenges with our security, energy, the environment, education, the economy, and health care. These challenges have to be addressed now.
Our nation has historic strengths. We are known worldwide for our technology and innovation. We have a practical approach to problems. And, most importantly, we stand for freedom, fairness, and democracy. We need to build on our strengths to move ahead.
I believe that by working together, we can make a difference for this country, and I'd appreciate your help.
